Golden Chick Amps Up Lenten Offerings with the Return of Fan-Favorites and New Wicked Shrimp

Available now through May 11 at all its locations, the brand is spotlighting the fare of the sea with Butterfly Shrimp and Southern-Fried Catfish combos, as well as its new Wicked Shrimp, sprinkled with Golden Chick’s signature Lotta Zing® seasoning for an extra kick.

Golden Chick’s butterfly shrimp were first introduced in 2020. Golden Chick’s shrimp are coated in a light, crispy panko breading that delivers the crunch customers crave without the weight of excessive batter. After receiving rave customer feedback on other Lotta Zing®-coated menu items like its Wicked Wings and Big & Wicked Chicken Sandwich, the brand expanded the Wicked vertical and added its butterfly shrimp to the product mix.

To breathe fresh life into the seasonal campaign, Golden Chick also worked with agency partner, The LOOMIS Agency, and production company TEMPT Films to develop an innovative television campaign. Stepping outside its traditional branding, the teams created a playful sea shanty that brings the excitement of its seafood promotion to life. The creative spot reinforces Golden Chick’s commitment to offering unique and engaging experiences for guests.

Alongside its butterfly shrimp is Golden Chick’s seafood menu mainstay, Southern-Fried Catfish, which is farm-raised in the U.S., hand-breaded in a spiced cornmeal batter and fried to perfection. Guests can enjoy both offerings in a variety of seafood combos with the addition of a savory Southern-style side, freshly baked Yeast roll and a 30-ounce beverage:
