Franchise History

In March 2010, Mohammed Umar, founder of Oodles, saw an opportunity in the market. A modest takeaway restaurant located in a busy part of Leicester offered a chance to develop an idea that had been brewing in his head for some time.

His life experiences alongside his love for food, saw him create the concept of freshly-cooked Indo Chinese food in a relaxed atmosphere at great value for money. The Oodles concept was born.

With the focal point on using fresh ingredients cooked in an open kitchen, Mohammed and his brother Ismail set about creating a menu full of Indo Chinese dishes using their own take on recipes with sauces and marinades. Their sole aim was to provide a casual dining experience that is very different to the meals being served by conventional takeaway restaurants.
