Since its opening in 2016, Orlando Cat Café is a destination for cat enthusiasts, coffee lovers, and families alike. Located in Clermont, Florida, the café offers a unique experience where guests can sip premium beverages and enjoy baked goods while interacting with adoptable cats in a dedicated lounge. This model has not only created a one-of-a-kind customer experience but also served as a lifeline for countless rescue cats, facilitating over 2,800 adoptions in partnership with SPCA, Florida.

Franchise History

The Orlando Cat Café opened on September 8, 2016 as the first Cat Café to open in the State of Florida.  Founder and Owner, Sandra Cagan, got the idea to open the café in December of 2014 after seeing a report on NBC Nightly News about a similar venture that opened in New York City.  Ms. Cagan was turning 50 in 2015 and was looking to do something philanthropic and to give back to her community in some meaningful way.  As she likes to joke, “when you turn 50 you stop thinking about what you are going to put on your resume, and you start thinking about what people are going to say at your eulogy”.  With 20 years of property development/property management experience and a life-long love of cats, opening a Cat Café seemed like a natural fit.
