Eat the Frog Fitness for Every Body

Eat the Frog Fitness for Every Body

As a lifelong athlete and the Decathlon Silver and Gold Medalist (at the 2004 and 2008 Olympic games), Bryan Clay just knew there was a better way for the general population to exercise and get better results than what he saw in the current fitness marketplace. So Clay combined his passion for fitness, entrepreneurial spirit, and a unique and original idea to launch Eat the Frog Fitness with business partner Joe Culver.

Together they have built a franchise fitness concept that distinguishes itself from the crowd by offering a personal and customizable workout regimen that can be adjusted to fit every customer and every body.

“We have really created a niche in the industry by combining personal training with group fitness,” explains Clay. He says that by understanding fitness regimes and tailoring them to each customer, Eat the Frog Fitness can create the ultimate training experience for people of all fitness levels.

Every customer begins with the Eat the Frog Fitness Assessment, which identifies the areas of fitness they should focus on. It could be strength, cardio, or FlexCore, and each customer receives a personalized training plan or “ETF Prescription.”

After following the program for 8 weeks customers have the option to retake the Fitness Assessment. This reassessment reveals their growth and provides a new and challenging ETF Prescription. It’s this critical component of the Eat The Frog Training System that ensures customers’ continuous improvement toward their fitness goals. It also keep them coming back for more.

With a process now tested and refined, Eat the Frog Fitness is the only fitness brand in the market today that offers each member a combination of Olympic training insights, fitness assessments, periodized custom training plans, industry-leading technology, 24/7 member access, and the lowest prices in the boutique fitness studio market. The results have been happier and healthier customers and a significant earning potential for the right investors.

There are a number of features that separate Eat the Frog Fitness from the competition. For example, the studios are open 24/7 and offer live and “virtual” training, says Clay. “Our live classes allow participants to benefit from our coached classes and training sessions,” he explains. “But if you are a nurse, stay-at-home mom, or work unusual hours, the virtual training is available to you whenever you need it.” Large IMAX-style screens bring the programs to the customers in a larger-than-life style.

Also important, according to Clay, is the brand’s use of low-impact equipment workout equipment such as bikes and rowers. “Our equipment is not going to beat up your body, which often leads to people quitting their fitness efforts,” says Clay. Eat the Frog Fitness’ equipment is not only customizable to each customer’s needs, but is designed to get the work done without punishing their bodies.

And if you’re wondering about the name, Eat the Frog is derived from a Mark Twain quote, “If it’s your job to eat a frog, it’s best to do it first thing in the morning. And if it’s your job to eat two frogs, it’s best to eat the biggest one first.” Clay explains that someone’s “frog” is their biggest, most important task of the day. “It’s the one immediate task that could have the greatest positive impact on your life, and for many people that’s fitness,” he says.

Eat the Frog Fitness blends proprietary training methods with an evidenced-based franchise-business model. By late 2019 the brand plans to have 40 fitness studios open. Hundreds more are expected to open through 2021 and beyond.
