It all started a decade ago, in a custom-built 30-foot trailer equipped with a Southern Pride 500 spk smoker, sinks and refrigeration. Traveling to barbeque cook-offs and Ribfest events throughout the South, East and Midwest, President and founder Jeff Yater perfected the Squealers® recipe and won the hearts and taste buds of hard-core barbeque lovers and judges alike. Armed with a loyal following, a superior reputation and over 65 awards from regional, national and world barbeque authorities, Squealers® knew they had the recipe for success.
Using only the finest cuts of meats, smoked to perfection over select seasoned cherry wood complemented by its award-winning barbeque recipes and southern-style side dishes, Squealers® opened its first restaurant in the spring of 2001. The people of Mooresville and central Indiana couldn't get their fill of this great barbeque. It wasn't long before Squealers® became the premier destination for down home barbeque in the Midwest. Their combination of incredible barbeque and tasty sides, all served up at an affordable price helped Squealers® grow beyond their Mooresville store.
