Franchisee Expands Urban Air Adventure Park Portfolio

Operator Shekar Laveti has signed a franchise agreement with Urban Air Adventure Park to acquire a location in Gilbert, Arizona, marking his fourth park in the system.

Laveti already owns and operates parks in Lakeland, Florida, and Newnan, Georgia, with another location in development in Mesa, Arizona. A former Wall Street executive, he also operates The Goddard School.

"I am excited to add Gilbert to my Urban Air portfolio and reintroduce this amazing experience to more families," Laveti says. "As an operator, I look for brands that are evolving, investing in innovation, and creating reasons for families to return. Urban Air checks all those boxes, which is why I'm continuing to grow my portfolio with the brand."

Laveti first entered the system in 2024 after discovering the brand as a customer. Since then, he has expanded across multiple markets and continues to pursue additional acquisitions with a goal of growing his Urban Air footprint into the double digits.

The deal reflects a broader trend within the system. As of 2026, 36% of Urban Air franchisees own more than one unit, and 15% own three or more, according to the company.
