Common Cause: MUFC brings Partners, Insights, and Opportunities Together

As I look back on this year’s Multi-Unit Franchising Conference in Las Vegas, I’m reminded of just how powerful it is to bring together franchise leaders, brands, and partners from across our industry. MUFC 2026 delivered a dynamic, informative event filled with meaningful learning, valuable networking, and forward-looking conversations about the future of multi-unit operations and customer experience.

Keynote speaker Brittney Hodak, author of Superfans set the tone right from the start. Her message was clear: When we combine strong, human in-store experiences with the right technology, we can deliver exceptional service and build lasting customer loyalty.

That theme carried through the general sessions, where franchisees and industry partners tackled the ongoing employee reset and the evolving definition of value in service. These discussions reinforced the importance of staying adaptable while remaining focused on the fundamentals that drive our businesses forward.

One of the highlights of the conference was the fireside chat between Matt Haller and Greg Flynn. Hearing Flynn share his journey and insights on scaling, leadership, and growth was both engaging and incredibly valuable for operators at every stage.

The Exhibit Hall was another standout, filled with brands and vendor partners offering new ideas, innovative solutions, and opportunities to help all of us run stronger, more efficient businesses.

Day 2 continued to inspire with powerful presentations from Jon Dorenbos and Jim Craig. Both speakers shared personal stories about overcoming adversity and reminded us that resilience, mindset, and preparation play critical roles in business and life.

It has been an honor to serve as chairman for MUFC 2026. I want to thank the Franchise Update Media team and everyone who worked behind the scenes to make this event such a success. Most importantly, thank you to all of you who invested in yourselves and your businesses by attending this year’s conference.

If you weren’t able to join us this year, I encourage you to make plans to attend MUFC 2027. You won’t want to miss it.

Congratulations to Nicholas Marco as he steps into the role of chairman for MUFC 2027. I know he will lead an outstanding event that continues to elevate our industry and create even more opportunities to learn, connect, and grow.

Thank you again for being part of MUFC and for helping make franchising one of the greatest industries in the world.
