Longtime multi-unit franchisee and Multi-Unit Franchising Conference board member and former chair, Bill Hall, was named treasurer of the IFA at the board's summer meeting earlier this month. Hall has more than 35 years of franchising, financial management, and investing experience.
He has been a multi-unit franchisee of various brands since 1986 and is currently the CEO of Treats Investments, LLC, owner/operator of five Dairy Queen locations in Texas. He is also the CEO of Align Capital, LLC, a private equity firm in Austin, Texas, focused on investments for family offices.
During his career he has also owned and operated community banks in Texas, independent restaurant concepts, various private equity operating companies, and real estate investments. He has served as the president for multiple terms of the Texas Dairy Queen Operators' Council, representing more than 800 Dairy Queen restaurants in the state, and as a member of the American Dairy Queen National Dealer Marketing Council for multiple terms.
Hall's other franchising experience also includes previously operating Church's Chicken and Mr. Jim's Pizza locations.
"It is an honor to accept the role of treasurer and I look forward to working again with the staff, board, and members of the IFA on the franchise business model that has been an important part of my business career," says Hall. "I will focus on leadership, relationships, and competency during my tenure as treasurer, which to me are the keys to success in franchising as a whole."
The office of treasurer is a three-year, non-rotating seat on the IFA Board of Directors.
