Checkers & Rally's Operator Adding Capriotti's Sandwich Shops

Javier Gomez has more than three decades of experience in the restaurant industry and a track record of growing businesses in new markets. He operates 11 successful Checkers & Rally’s locations throughout California’s Central Valley. Now he’s becoming a multi-brand operator following the signing of a franchise agreement that will see him open three new Capriotti’s Sandwich Shops in the Fresno market. The first location is slated to open early this spring.

“In 2018, I was looking for additional concepts to add to my portfolio and was introduced to Capriotti’s at a franchise convention in Las Vegas,” said Gomez. “I was offered a free sandwich and after my first bite of the famous Bobby sandwich, I was hooked. The loyal fanbase coupled with the incredible food made my choice to invest with this brand a no-brainer.”

Gomez said he was looking for a flexible, smaller-footprint business opportunity and liked what he found with Capriotti’s. When he opens his first Capriotti’s it will be the brand’s first location in the Central Valley.
