Firehouse Subs Franchisees Grow Despite Covid-19

Brandon Gerstein is not afraid of Covid-19. He's demonstrated that by teaming up with new partner Mike Smith to open his fourth Firehouse Subs location in the Mile High City. During these challenging times customers can order subs to go via online ordering through the Firehouse Subs app or website, call-in phone orders, third party delivery, or takeout service at the counter inside.

This is the first Firehouse Subs restaurant for Smith, who went from manager to business owner after joining the local team as a crew member nine years ago. Smith has been the general manager of the Denver area's training restaurant for seven years.

"I fully enjoy getting up and going to work every single day, and getting to work with our Firehouse Subs crew," Smith said. "Because of Brandon's partnership, and the support I've gotten over the years, I'm honored and excited to bring my expertise and our hot subs to a new area."

Smith and Gerstein are dedicated to sharing the brand's commitment to giving back through Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, which has granted more than $724,000 in Colorado. In April, all funds collected in Firehouse Subs restaurants through Round Up, canister donations, and recycled pickle bucket sales went to support immediate Covid-19 relief efforts through the Foundation, including thousands of donated meals to feed everyday heroes, from first responders to healthcare workers fighting current pandemic.
