Tennessee Operator Signs Area Rep Deal With Rise Southern Biscuits and Righteous Chicken
Fred Fordin believes Tennessee needs more fast-casual breakfast choices. That’s why he just signed an area development agreement with Rise Southern Biscuits and Righteous Chicken. Fordin, who already has two units open, has committed to opening at least 15 Rise locations throughout the Volunteer State during the next five years.
“The State of Tennessee is lacking in breakfast options in the fast casual space, and I felt Rise was the perfect concept to bring to the area,” said Fordin. “Rise is a homerun in any environment. Even with the decrease in tourism, the locals still want their chicken biscuit delivered right to their home.”
His two locations in Nashville and Germantown managed to maintain momentum and growth during the Covid-19 pandemic. The brand shifted to online orders and delivery last year to counter the pandemic’s effects on business.
