About Honey Dew Donuts

Honey Dew Donuts is New England’s largest locally owned donut and coffee shop chain with 145 units and over 65 franchise families. Started in the small town of Mansfield, MA by Richard Bowen, they have been serving their customers a variety of coffees, donuts, muffins, pastries, breakfast sandwiches and other beverages for forty years. They are committed to their customers by giving nothing less than the best quality, service and cleanliness in each and every shop, every day.

Franchise History

Richard J. Bowen, founder and president of Honey Dew Associates, Inc. always had a passion and taste for donuts. As a kid, he followed his dad to work at a local donut shop in West Roxbury, Massachusetts. Throughout high school he worked at several coffee and donut shops, dreaming of the day he would own his own where the local community could gather to ″enjoy the local flavor.″ In 1973, Dick's dream came true when he opened the first Honey Dew Donuts
