Johnny's Lunch burst onto the scene in 1936, just when this country was beginning to emerge from the demoralizing grip of a deep depression. The restaurant was an immediate success selling Johnny's Hots™ for a dime. The proprietors of Johnny's--Johnny Colera and his wife, Minnie--quickly realized that their customers were looking for something different, something quite unique: Quality ... Quantity ... Price ... and Service.
