Fazoli’s Salutes Franchisee and Supplier of the Year

Texas-based PastaQuik and Southern Bakeries Recognized for Achievements

October 14, 2014 // Franchising.com // LEXINGTON, Ky. - Fazoli's, America's largest quick-service Italian restaurant chain, recognized its top franchisee and top supplier during the annual National Brand Conference in Key Biscayne, Fla. Mark Crayne of Texas-based PastaQuik, LP accepted the Franchisee of the Year award for the second consecutive year, while Southern Bakeries, LLC was named Supplier of the Year. "Mark and PastaQuik are the prime example of the success our franchisees have experienced at Fazoli's. PastaQuik's high standards, commitment to excellence and guest-first focus are leading to record sales," said Carl Howard, president and CEO. "Fazoli's depends on all of our operators to deliver a great value to our guests through extraordinary service and expertly prepared food, and PastaQuik accomplishes this day in and day out." PastaQuik's Amarillo, Texas, location posted the highest sales volume among all Fazoli's restaurants in fiscal year 2014. Its Odessa, Texas, location was in the top three, and its Abilene, Texas, location was among the best in year-over-year sales growth. Southern Bakeries, which provides Fazoli's craveable breadsticks, earned Supplier of the Year. "Guests love our breadsticks, which differentiate Fazoli's from other brands," said Howard. "Southern Bakeries is a true partner, helping us enhance the total guest experience this year by creating an even better breadstick."
