Church's Chicken® Franchisee Corpus Christi Keeps Business In The Family With Domestic Transfer

ATLANTA - Aug. 1, 2018 // PRNewswire // - Church's of Corpus Christi, one of the original Church's Chicken® franchisees, announced a domestic transfer of its restaurant from mother to daughter. Vicki DeFratus, President of Church's of Corpus Christi, has been a Church's franchisee for more than 50 years and will passing the baton to her daughter, Keri Orrell. This is a multi-unit franchise has six restaurants in Corpus Christi, Texas.

"My mother was one of the first franchisees for Church's Chicken. Our family has a deep-rooted relationship with the organization. I am excited to continue her legacy with the company and help build on what she's established," said Keri Orrell, Incoming President for Church's of Corpus Christi. "I truly admire my mother's long-standing commitment to Church's. It speaks volumes about her confidence in the brand and the successes both of our companies have enjoyed over the years."

Under Orrell's leadership, Corpus Christi plans to remodel their existing restaurants. The restaurants will feature the Church's STAR Initiative Design, which boasts a modern design, contemporary architectural elements and bold LED lighting. Remodels are projected to begin in 2018. In addition, Orrell hopes to acquire more restaurants for Corpus Christi to grow their portfolio.
