Buddy’s Home Furnishings Awards Entire Vegas Territory, Enters Chicago Suburb

One of The Fastest Growing Rent-to-Own Retailers in America Awards Seven Territories, Opens Four Franchises in Second Quarter

August 24, 2023 // Franchising.com // ORLANDO, Fla. - Buddy’s Home Furnishings, a retailer specializing in the sales and rental ownership of furniture, electronics, appliances and home accessories, awarded development agreements representing seven units during the second quarter of 2023. The agreements mark two major milestones in Buddy’s franchise expansion plans.

First-time franchise owners Jonathan and Nicole Ozark were awarded six units in the Las Vegas market.

“We met at Caesars Palace, so it’s only fitting that we’re starting our journey as franchise owners together in Las Vegas,” said Jonathan. “We claimed the entire territory because this is a huge opportunity for us to create generational wealth for our family and to serve the community we call home.”

Nancy Abuali and her husband Mohammad Bakri were awarded the first Buddy’s unit to enter the Chicago suburbs in Elgin, Illinois. Nancy is in real estate and Mohammad works in the transportation industry.

“We’re proud to introduce Buddy’s to our community and meet a growing demand for affordable home necessities,” said Nancy. “As first-time franchise owners, Buddy’s support team has been an incredible resource to ensure we’re following best practices in order to be a successful location in a new market.”

During the second quarter, Buddy’s opened four new franchised locations across Georgia and Florida.

Since adopting the franchising model in 2009, Buddy’s has established a strong history of multi-unit success, which is why 91% of Buddy’s franchisees own multiple units.
