Save A Lot’s New Hometown Hero Program Shines Spotlight on Local People Doing A Lot of Good

Voting for the first set of nominees now open

LOUIS, MO - Save A Lot, one of the largest discount grocery chains in the U.S., today announced voting for its first batch of Hometown Heroes nominees is now open. Hometown Heroes was launched in September 2023 to recognize the people and organizations making a difference in the communities our stores serve. To find out more about the nominees, see below.

Each of these people were nominated by someone in their community for the great work they do in helping make their hometowns a better place. Now through January 19, people can head to Save A Lot’s Facebook page and vote on which of the 15 finalists is their favorite. Only votes cast on Save A Lot’s Facebook page will count towards the final total. Winners for this first contest will be notified in early February and announced in the Save A Lot newsroom. Each winner will receive a $500 Save A Lot gift card. Up to five Hometown Heroes will be selected and recognized each quarter from the pool of nominations nationwide.
