Hounds Town USA Opens New York Location, Serving the Greater Long Island Area

January 08, 2025 // Franchising.com // SMITHTOWN, NY – Hounds Town USA announced today the opening of its newest location on Long Island. This facility will officially open its doors on January 11th serving as a trusted source of pet care for the community.

Longtime Hounds Town franchisee Mike Schneider, along with his partners Holly Farrelly, Jackie Devaney, and Jimmy Farrelly, are launching their second location in Suffolk County, furthering his commitment to the Long Island community. Owning and operating the Hounds Town Commack location since 2020, he and his team are well-equipped with the skills and experience to open this Smithtown location. Owned and operated by their existing operations team, Holly, Jackie and Jimmy who is on his third location as well as Schneider's wife, Ariana, who plays an active role in leading it's philanthropic efforts. The team often partners with nearby shelters to house dogs in need and help facilitate their adoption process.

“The success of our first Hounds Town location has shown a demand for our services,” said Mike Schneider. “I’ve seen firsthand how important it is to let dogs just be dogs. Our approach to socialization creates an environment where dogs can thrive, and we’re excited to bring that same philosophy to Smithtown.”

With their heavy ties in the community, including participating in the Chamber of Commerce and seeking charity opportunities in the neighborhood, the goal is to build a true connection and foundation for the Smithtown community through this new Hounds Town location.

“Long Island is where Hounds Town began and it’s amazing to see the area still has a demand,” said Rob Flanagan, CEO of Hounds Town USA. “We’re looking forward to continuing our journey with Mike and the team, who has been dedicated to furthering our commitment at Hounds Town.”

Hounds Town services include interactive dog daycare, pet boarding, and stress-free spa services. Supervised by a well-trained staff, dogs are able to play all-day, providing both physical and mental stimulation, with a group of dogs that match their size and temperament for safe and fun socialization— guaranteeing a Hounds Town Hangover when pets go home. Hounds Town has a no-breed discrimination policy, making it easier for all pet owners to find reliable care.
