Franchise History

They began making their mark in the disaster recovery business in 1993, with the founding of the Electronic Restoration Services (ERS) brand. In 2001 they began offering art restoration services through Art Recovery Technologies (ART). Document recovery services were added in 2009 through Document Restoration Services. In 2012, Restoration Specialties Franchise Group was formed to franchise the ERS brand, becoming the first franchise to offer the restoration of electronics on a national basis. In 2016, RSFG became the first company to franchise the restoration of art and collectibles through the launch of its ART brand. In 2019, RSFG began adding textile restoration services in select markets under the name of Textile Extraction Xperts (TEX), and expects to expand throughout the rest of the United States over the next two years. As of 2021, the franchisor of ERS, ART and TEX is now known as Prism Technologies, representing their brand and specialty expansion that’s occurred over the past few years.
