Franchise Leadership & Growth Conference Goes Virtual, Oct. 13–15
We’re back – did you miss us? Our last FMLR newsletter was 5 months ago, March 24. Like you, we shifted our resources to where they were needed most. In our case, they went into our Covid-19 Report newsletter.
We’re back now on our regular biweekly schedule, focusing on a radically different consumer marketplace.
We’ve also had to make Covid-related changes to our annual Franchise Leadership & Growth Conference (FLGC) – twice! First, we moved the conference from mid-June to mid-October, thinking and hoping that the fallout from the coronavirus would have subsided by then. (Remember those hopes?) However, as we all know too well, it hasn’t.
Now, like many others, we’ve made the leap to a virtual conference. The new dates for the online Franchise Leadership & Growth Virtual Conference are Oct. 13–15. Here’s a quick preview. We’re all living in a strange new world, so for more information on how it will work, and to register, take a look here.
FLGVC: Virtually Yours
In light of health considerations related to Covid-19, we’ve changed the annual in-person Franchise Leadership & Growth Conference to a virtual event to be held October 13–15, 2020. The conference, showcasing timely speakers and sessions, will focus on collaboration between C-suite, marketing, and sales and development executives, to learn the most effective growth strategies and best practices for franchising success in these challenging times.
“While we’re all longing for the days of gathering together in person, it was important for us to find a way to bring the incredible content that our Conference Advisory Boards, speakers, and team have put together at a time franchise leaders need it most,” said Therese Thilgen, CEO of Franchise Update Media. “I’m thrilled that we’ve been able to build an innovative platform to showcase mission-critical information to help franchisor teams collaborate more closely and drive success in marketing, development, and leadership.”
In speaking with franchisors, she said, their top priorities are igniting business growth for their franchisees and reaching prospects to expand their system. “It is more important than ever for marketing and development teams to work together and lead their teams effectively to facilitate growth,” said Thilgen. “We’ve created this conference to help both teams collaborate more closely to elevate their leadership and support their franchisees and prospects as we navigate toward a new normal.”
The Franchise Leadership & Growth Virtual Conference (FLGVC) will be held as a series of live, interactive sessions. Attendees will be able to attend live events or take advantage of exclusive access to recordings at a later time, allowing them to actually experience more content and sessions than they would have at a live conference, at their convenience, from work, home, or anywhere.
Included with registration, attendees will be able to see the live presentation of the keynote event on leadership innovation, featuring former Nike Vice President Stefan Olander – as well as the Franchise Update Media Innovation Awards, presentation of the Annual Franchise Development Report (AFDR) and the Annual Franchise Marketing Report (AFMR), as well as additional keynote speakers and Business Solution Roundtables.
“We look forward to presenting this platform for everyone to engage in virtual networking, content, and a shared experience that showcases the best practices and case studies as franchising’s leaders share their stories and answer questions from their peers. We’re very excited to introduce this new event in October,” said Thilgen.
