Longtime Wingstop Operator's Latest Opening Marks The Brand's 1,500th Location

Multi-unit Wingstop operator Danny Sonenshine now has the distinction of opening the Dallas-based brand’s 1,500th restaurant location. Sonenshine’s Far West Restaurant Group, LLC currently operates 61 Wingstop locations in the Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Seattle markets. The newest location in Sonenshine’s portfolio will be in Las Vegas.

Sonenshine has been a successful and growing franchisee with the Wingstop brand since signing on 15 years ago. Prior to that the former litigator and transactional attorney was with a major law firm in Orange County. But he wasn’t happy and was looking for something that would give him a little more control over his schedule, he told Multi-Unit Franchisee magazine in 2013. Wingstop was relatively new to California at that time and Sonenshine’s dad urged him to consider franchising. His first deal was for 10 units in Southern California.

"I would personally like to thank Danny, his wife, Kerri, and the entire team for their commitment to Wingstop over the past 15 years," said chairman and CEO Charlie Morrison. "I greatly value their continued partnership and the important role this team has had in Wingstop's successful history."

Founded in 1994 and headquartered in Dallas, Wingstop has locations in 44 states and nine countries outside of the U.S.
