Tennessee DQ Grill & Chill Mega Operator Is On The Grow Again

Matt Frauenshuh knows how to operate Dairy Queen restaurants well. The mega operator is managing his portfolio of more than 220 of the chain's restaurants in 13 states. Earlier this month he opened his newest DQ Grill & Chill location in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
"We look forward to being an active member within the city Oak Ridge," said Frauenshuh, owner and CEO of Fourteen Foods. "We are committed to creating positive memories for each and every guest. Our team lives out our mission everyday of building people and profits one smile and story at a time. We look forward to serving the Oak Ridge community for many years to come."
His newest drive-thru restaurant will employee 75 staff members, ranging from crew members to managers.
Frauenshuh's company is a faith-based, family owned business started in 2006. The name Fourteen Foods references the bible verse in Matthew 14 describing the feeding of 5,000. The team credits their growth and local store success to a combination of excellent local teams, raving fans, and a commitment to the communities served.
The 80-year-old Dairy Queen brand now has more than 7,000 locations worldwide and is a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Inc.
