About Belgian Beer Cafe

Belgian Beer Café is a global concept offering a wide range of delicious Belgian beers and a selection of classic Belgian dishes and local cuisine in a warm and inviting setting that evokes the ambiance of an authentic European Café.

Authentic Belgian beer is available at Belgian Beer Café along with a handful of other beer brands, served in the proper glassware at the proper temperature. The expert wait staff distinguishes itself from other restaurants with its knowledge of specialty beers, their origin, pouring rituals and food pairings to ensure the right beer accompanies the right dish. Each Belgian Beer Café features approximately 20 to 40 different Belgian beer varieties, both bottled and draught.

Company History

The Belgian Beer Café concept was developed in 1998 by Creneau International for Belgium-based Anheuser-Busch InBev as a vehicle for promoting its beers worldwide, particularly its Belgian Stella Artois brand. Creneau International, one of Europe's premier design agencies, was selected to create a beer café that mimicked grocery shops found throughout Belgium in the early 1920s that sold goods but also served as casual meeting places where patrons of all backgrounds could enjoy a drink in a convivial atmosphere.

Creneau International, which has designed and built more than 60 Belgian Beer Cafés throughout the world, owns the Belgian Beer Café concept outright in the U.S. from Anheuser-Busch InBev, which licenses the concept throughout the world, with the exception of the U.S., where Creneau International holds all ownership rights.
