The Tomey Group Opens Jimmy John's in Detroit

The Tomey Group, the largest Jimmy John's franchisee in Michigan, has opened a new location in Detroit's Corktown neighborhood, continuing its expansion across the state.

The new restaurant at 1620 Michigan Avenue marks the family-owned company's 48th Jimmy John's location in Michigan. The 1,600-square-foot restaurant offers delivery, pickup, dine-in, and catering.

The Tomey Group opened its first Jimmy John's more than 20 years ago in Novi, Michigan. It is the largest Jimmy John's franchise owner in the state and the third largest in the country.

"We're thrilled to open our new Jimmy John's location in the vibrant and historic Corktown neighborhood and further expand our pride to the city of Detroit," said Anthony Tomey, CEO of The Tomey Group. "We're excited to bring fresh and delicious sandwiches to the community for years to come!"

A ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening celebration was March 11 with ownership, city officials, and community members attending.
