Registration Now Open and Sponsorships Available

SAN JOSE, Calif., Dec. 22, 2010 - Sean Tuohy, entrepreneur, NBA broadcaster, and subject of The Blind Side, J. Patrick Doyle, CEO of Domino's Pizza, futurist Jim Carroll, and John DiJulius, customer experience speaker, author and consultant, will be the four keynote speakers at the 2011 Multi-Unit Franchising Conference, April 27-29 at The Venetian in Las Vegas. The annual conference is organized by Multi-Unit Franchisee Magazine, and the 2011 theme is, "What's Next. Plan Tomorrow Today."

Sean Tuohy will take the audience behind The Blind Side, the major motion picture that tells the story of Michael Oher, a homeless teenager turned first round draft pick NFL football player, with the support and love of an unlikely adoptive family: the Tuohys. Sean Tuohy, Michael's adoptive father, was a record-breaking basketball player before becoming a successful entrepreneur and NBA broadcaster. He will also share his experiences and insights into how he built a company that owns and operates 70 fast food restaurants, including Taco Bell and Long John Silver's.

J. Patrick Doyle will tell "The Pizza Turnaround Story" as the opening keynote speaker. Jim Carroll's topic is "Where Do We Go From Here? Why Innovators Will Rule in the Post-Recession Economy - And How You Can Join Them," and John DiJulius will explain "What's the Secret? Providing World Class Customer Experience."

J. Patrick Doyle is just the third person to hold the CEO title in Domino's rich 50-year history, and was pegged as a potential heir apparent to the position early in his career with the pizza delivery experts. He gained the appropriate experience while leading several key departments within the organization.

Jim Carroll is one of the world's leading international futurists, trends and innovation experts. He was featured as an innovation expert on the CNBC show Business of Innovation, was named one of four leading experts into innovation by BusinessWeek magazine, and was the opening speaker for the 94th Annual General Meeting of the PGA (Professional Golf Association) - the first speaker the PGA has ever engaged to speak at that meeting.

John DiJulius is president of John Robert's Hair Studio & Spa, and the founder and CVO (Chief Visionary Officer) of The DiJulius Group, a customer experience consulting organization that helps companies improve and maintain a healthier corporate culture and performance; lower employee turnover costs; increase customer retention factors; add more referrals and "make price irrelevant." He is also the author of the best-selling book, Secret Service: Hidden Systems that Deliver Unforgettable Customer Service.

"The focus of this conference is to help franchisees plan and implement strategies that will help them meet their business objectives as we begin to turn the corner on the economic turmoil that has defined the last two years," said Therese Thilgen, president of Franchise Update Media Group, publisher of Multi-Unit Franchisee Magazine. "The multi-unit, multi-brand operators who have continued to drive sales and increase growth will share their insights about the programs and tactics that have helped them achieve success."

The conference also includes breakout sessions, workshops and roundtables, as well as the "franchisee only" lunch, an exclusive opportunity for attendees to discuss their thoughts on the best takeaways from the Franchisee Leadership Peer Group Roundtable. The exhibit hall will also be open, offering the opportunity for attendees to network with other franchisees, partners, suppliers, and vendors.
