Seattle Couple Sign Multi-Unit Deal With Shaquille O'Neal's Big Chicken
David and Lorri Jones are longtime franchise operators in the Seattle area where they own four Subways and eight locations of their own concept, Blazing Onion Handcrafted Burgers. The couple, with a reputation for success, just signed a new deal will that will see them open multiple locations of Big Chicken, the fast-casual chicken concept founded by basketball Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal.
“We were blown away when we first visited Big Chicken; the food was fresh, the flavors were big, and the team behind the brand is incredibly talented,” said David. “Lorri and I have worked on all sides of restaurant development and Big Chicken is a concept that checks every box in terms of taste profile, menu innovation, marketing, operations, franchisor support, and a strong real estate strategy. We’re confident Big Chicken will quickly become one of Greater Seattle’s hottest spots.”
David and Lorri have nearly 25 years of restaurant and business ownership experience. David worked in managerial roles at Wendy’s, McDonald’s, Panhandler Pies, and Denny’s, while Lorri worked as a controller at several businesses.
Now with three brands in their portfolio, the Joneses are eager to serve even more Seattle-area residents while overseeing a growing business.
In addition to Shaquille O’Neal, Big Chicken is backed by brand development, marketing, and entertainment company Authentic Brands, and Las Vegas events and catering company JRS Hospitality.
