Canadian fast-casual eatery Copper Branch is going global and poised to rapidly expand as a health-focused franchise for the masses.

The feel-good brand is serving up 100% plant-based fare with an all-day menu. Already shaking up the franchise world in Canada, Copper Branch expects to double its current footprint of 20 locations within the next 12 months.

Copper Branch will open its first U.S. franchise store in New York City’s Greenwich Village in the fall of 2018. Development plans are already under way in the U.S. for more store openings.

The first European franchise unit opens in the city of Brest, France within the next six months, with several to follow across France. Master License agreements have been inked for France, Belgium, Monaco, the Netherlands, Israel, and Russia. Copper Branch is well on the way to achieving its goal of being a 2,000-unit brand by the end of the next decade.

“We are experiencing a Food Revolution,” says Mark Segall, Director of Franchising and Real Estate Development for Copper Branch. “Consumers are looking for a truly healthy quick-serve option, and we have responded by serving flavor-filled, 100% plant-based food. Our goal is for people to feel their best and contribute in making the planet a healthier place to live.”

Copper Branch’s diverse, chef-inspired, 100% plant-based power food menu requires no specialized kitchen staff and no frying or grilling. The whole foods crafted lineup includes signature power bowls, burgers, LTOs (limited time offers), fresh sides, power smoothies, cold-pressed organic juices, and desserts. Copper Branch has developed a private-label organic coffee and tea program, and a proprietary line of condiments. Franchisees can opt to serve organic kombucha, wine, or beer on draft.

Montreal-based Copper Branch operated six corporate locations before offering franchise opportunities in October 2015. The concept was founded in 2014 by entrepreneur and restaurant franchise veteran Onofrio Infantino, with the aim of making plant-based food accessible to everyone. The name reflects the brand’s mission and values: to empower, energize, and make people feel their best.
