Grimaldi's Pizzeria Soars with Seasonal Menu

On a rainy Connecticut day, Grimaldi’s Pizzeria Executive Chef Cory Lattuca spent an afternoon at the home of winemaker Daniele Pozzi, founder of Villa Pozzi, creating culinary magic.  

The food and wine influencers experimented with a slate of vegetables and proteins, ultimately hitting on a savory concoction of Italian sausage and freshly-sliced onions, bathed in red wine, and topped with plenty of fresh basil. 

What started as a collaboration of food enthusiasts, turned into a partnership between two friends and the recent introduction of a new Grimaldi's collaborative seasonal menu.

Along with the Sausage and Wine-Braised Onion pizza, the new Pizza & Pozzi menu includes a Winter Harvest Salad, featuring roasted Brussel sprouts, bacon, cranberries and feta atop a bed of arugula, and Villa Pozzi wines to complement these selections available through March 3. The Pizza & Pozzi menu also debuted several new items from cocktails to cheesecake, including spirits boasting bold flavors, such as juicy cranberry and winter citrus, along with a red velvet spin on its traditional house-made cheesecake.

With more than 40 restaurants in 11 states, coast-to-coast, innovative partnerships are at the core of Grimaldi’s, renowned for its New York-style pizzas baked to perfection in custom-built coal-fired brick ovens. Along with legendary pizza and experienced operational expertise, Grimaldi’s leads the way with a charitable spirit. 

Grimaldi’s has raised more than $1 million to fight childhood hunger since teaming up in 2013 with Share our Strength, the organization behind No Kid Hungry.

 Through Grimaldi’s annual Dine out for No Kid Hungry campaign and 2nd annual charity golf tournament, the expanding brand has helped provide hungry children over 10 million meals and counting.
