Nationwide Development Continues with Wayback Burgers adding their 36th State Owned and Operated by Native

Wayback Burgers is adding the 36th state to their list of locations in 2023. After adding the 35th state, Missouri, last year they are thrilled to now expand into Louisiana.  The new agreement signed for the New Orleans, Louisiana location will be owned and managed by native Lionel Nelson. Lionel comes to Wayback Burgers with a hospitality background where he spent his college days working at a local hotel and worked his way up from dishwasher to management roles and eventually in the hotel restaurant where he discovered his love for interacting with people and the restaurant business. Today, after running a successful Real Estate Developer and Construction company, along with being an active real estate broker Lionel and his wife had the pleasure of seeing their last kid off to college, he is excited to finally fulfill his dream of owning a restaurant. This will be the first food business in his portfolio. He said when he first laid eyes on the Wayback Burgers classic burger, he had to have it. Lionel and his wife Kewa then attended Discovery Day in Pooler, GA where they met a local franchisee and learned more about the brand. Besides the quality, delicious food they liked the simplified operations process at Wayback Burgers which helped in their decision making.  His favorite menu item is the Cheeeesy burger and a milkshake and Kewa loved the chicken and tots.  Lionel’s goal is to open multiple Wayback Burgers restaurant locations and bring quality product to his community.
