New Salata Location Opens with Record-Breaking Sales
Recently, Salata opened its 85th location, breaking first day sales records for the brand. Situated in Mesquite, Texas, our newest built-to-order salad and wrap kitchen providing quick, healthy meal options, set the high mark for opening day revenues — even while offering a free salad promotion. In total, the restaurant served more than 470 guests by the end of opening day. It is the third Salata for franchisee Ryan Nickel, who owns and operates two other locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
“We’ve been serving the North Texas community through our Grand Prairie and Mansfield locations, and are thrilled to expand our reach with our new Salata in Mesquite,” says Nickel.
In addition to strong sales performance, Mesquite’s Salata also continued the brand’s Partnership with a Purpose initiative – donating 15% of opening sales to the local nonprofit Sharing Life, an organization focused on tackling poverty and hunger in the Mesquite community.
Beyond strong market entries and meaningful community engagement, restaurant franchise investors can be comforted in that Salata consistently becomes a favorite lunch and dinner destination for local residents and business crowds seeking convenience without sacrificing mealtime quality. To earn that reputation, Salata maintains its place at the leading edge of the fast casual restaurant category with tech-enabled advancements.
All Salata locations, Mesquite included, are boosted by Salata’s app, popular loyalty program, online ordering platforms and third-party ordering partners, with nearly a quarter of orders coming from these sources. Increased restaurant traffic and app/online ordering have resulted in average unit revenue above $1 million systemwide.
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to reserve a development area. Salata currently plans to develop and open a total of 12 locations in 2022, while adding 60 units to its development pipeline. Additional openings are currently planned for Greater Houston, the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and Charlotte. Priority markets for future growth include appealing regions with substantial white space for expansion, such as Alabama, Louisiana, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida.
