Boston Multi-Unit Operators Adding New Brand To Their Expanding Portfolio

For more than a decade Marc Magerman and Peter Weber have built up a successful group of Five Guys restaurants in Massachusetts. Now the duo have signed a multi-unit agreement to bring five Taffer's Tavern locations to the greater Boston area.

"Marc and I are both from Massachusetts. We grew up together and became business partners when Five Guys began to franchise in New England. Together, we've opened 13 Five Guys restaurants in seven years," said Weber, of 8G Hospitality Associates, LLC. "We know the Boston area will welcome this new and different concept, and we are excited to partner with Jon Taffer and his team. Right now, there is tremendous opportunity to identify prime sites that will enable us to bring this innovative tavern concept to life."

Weber and Magerman credit their success in franchising to choosing top-tier locations, hiring experienced restaurant management teams, and working closely with their franchisor.

Taffer's Tavern is an emerging full-service tavern concept that is scheduled to open in the Atlanta area later this year and has a franchise commitment to open locations in the Washington, D.C. area, in addition to the new Boston deal.
