Franchise Update Media Announces Its New Biweekly Covid-19 Report

We know your email box is overflowing with coronavirus-related news, advice, webinars, resources, and stories of horrors and heroes. So what can we possibly add to the mix? Something we believe is unique: biweekly reports from the front lines of franchising: what franchisors, franchisees, and suppliers are doing to keep their businesses and their people afloat during these sinking times, with no definite date in sight for reaching calmer shores.

We’ll report on what franchisors and franchisees are doing to meet payroll, support employees, serve customers, generate leads, reallocate resources… and do the best they can for as many as they can… for however long it takes. To further explain, here’s a letter from our co-founder and CEO, Therese Thilgen.

Dear Friends,

There’s no doubt we’re knee-deep into a period of uncertainty, challenge, and change in franchising. Yet, every day, we’re seeing more examples of imaginative, innovative, and compassionate actions by franchisees and franchisors alike, looking to preserve businesses and jobs through strong leadership and acts of kindness that inspire as we navigate together through this crisis.

At Franchise Update Media, we’re finding our own new footing as we look for the best ways to support our amazing community of franchisors, franchisees, and suppliers. That work has taken us back to what we started 32 years ago: bringing this community the very best stories and ideas in the form of a "Franchise Update." Good old-fashioned News You Can Use!

The best way for us to live our mission today is to connect you with resources, news, tips, and advice from franchise leaders as they respond every day to survive and best position themselves for growth in tomorrow’s new normal. We know things will be different, and that not everyone will survive, but we’ll do our absolute best to help.

While we navigate through this crisis – and eventual recovery – we’ll bring you updates we hope are helpful as you lead in these challenging times. Look for the latest news from franchisors as they communicate with consumers and bring new resources, relief, and support to their franchisees. Hear what leading multi-unit franchisees are doing to strategize, adapt, and pivot for growth. Learn from innovative suppliers as they bring you the services and products that franchising needs right now.

Our Covid-19 Report launches today, April 2nd, and will be published each Tuesday and Thursday. In addition, we have launched a new section focused Covid-19 which can be viewed on Franchising.com.  If you have helpful ideas or news from your brand we can showcase, please email us at stories@franchising.com.

Let’s stay in touch as we find our way in the coming days, weeks, and months. And please, email me directly if we can help support you and your business in any way. Really. We’re all in this together!
