Attendance for 2010 is expected to be even higher than the record-breaking 2009 conference, which hosted 525 attendees, 78 exhibitors and 80 sponsors, a 54% increase over 2008.
"This event has steadily grown in popularity over the years, because it is designed, developed and executed by leading multi-unit franchise operators," said Therese Thilgen, president of FUMG. "We host the event, but all of the workshops, roundtable discussions, breakout sessions, and keynote speakers are determined by our multi-unit franchise board members."
Multi-unit, multi-brand franchises are now the majority in the industry, and one of the most important drivers of economic growth in the country. Despite the tough economy, industry leaders are continuing to grow, finding ways to capitalize on lower costs for real estate, an expanded labor pool, and access to funds from private equity and other investment groups.
