SAN JOSE, Calif., May 27, 2011 - Multi-Unit Franchisee Magazine, published by Franchise Update Media Group, today announced that John Metz, president of RREMC Restaurants, LLC has been named chairman for the 2012 Multi-Unit Franchising Conference. The conference will be held April 24-25 at The Mirage in Las Vegas.

"I am honored to be the chairman for the 2012 Multi-Unit Franchising Conference because it offers a very unique opportunity for multi-unit, multi-brand operators to network across all types of industries," Metz said. "When you meet other executives who are facing problems similar to yours, even though they are in an industry different from you, they will have an approach or a solution that is applicable to your situation."

The Multi-Unit Franchising Conference is an annual event produced by Multi-Unit Franchisee Magazine. The 2011 event hosted more than 950 attendees representing more than 400 brands. Metz said his goal for the 2012 conference is to increase attendance to 1,250, and have more than 500 multi-unit franchise organizations represented.

"Multi-unit franchising is all about growth," Metz said. "In order to be successful, you have to grow your brands and your units; otherwise, it's difficult to keep your senior managers happy and engaged. At this conference, I've met people I'd otherwise never have gotten to know, and gained valuable insights into different strategies for successful growth."
