Workout Anytime Signs 6-Country Master Deal for Central America and the Dominican Republic

Workout Anytime, a 24/7 fitness concept, has signed a deal with Honduras-based Lady Lee Corp. to expand into 5 countries in Central America and the Dominican Republic.

Under the deal, the brand’s first franchise venture outside the United States, Lady Lee will sell, open, and manage Workout Anytime gyms in Belize, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Panama and act as the master franchisee for each country.

Lady Lee has three openings planned for 2020 in Honduras and is scouting real estate for more locations in that country and throughout Central America and the Dominican Republic. “Workout Anytime is a well-structured franchise, with well-defined procedures and a highly aggressive pricing and service strategy that does not yet exist in the Central American region,” said Lady Lee’s Director of Marketing and Advertising Félix Rivera.

Based in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, Lady Lee develops multi-purpose shopping centers that combine food establishments, office spaces, and more. The company also has previous experience owning and operating U.S. franchise brands in region, with Wendy’s franchises in Honduras since 1991 and Venture X co-working franchises throughout Central America.

Lady Lee has a strong focus on social investment, said Rivera: “It is with this philosophy that we stay present, assuming as a socially responsible company the commitment to promote the development of our communities, with actions aimed at generating value in the fields of health, education, and childhood.”

“Workout Anytime has always had ambitious expansion plans, predicated on finding the right partner, which is why we’re is so excited about associating with Lady Lee,” said Workout Anytime COO Mark de Gorter.

Founded in 1999 and based in Atlanta, Workout Anytime has more than 160 clubs in the U.S., all locally owned and operated.

Lady Lee, founded in 1971 and based in Honduras, has four divisions: retail (Lady Lee, Forever 21), real estate (malls), food (Wendy’s), and services (EvoLLution, advertising & public relations).
