Mowbot is headquartered in Durham, North Carolina, and was founded in 2017 by a proven team with experience building a vast network of home service franchises as well as building businesses around new and innovative technologies.
Tony Hopp is what you would call a serial entrepreneur, he has started and successfully exited many tech related businesses over the years. He was working from home after his latest business exit and was getting very annoyed by all the noise caused by the lawn care crews going around his neighborhood every day. He knew there was a better way to do this, that’s how the idea for Mowbot was born. Tony has served as our Chief Executive Officer since July 2017.
Jeff Dudan is a franchise executive, founder and former CEO of AdvantaClean, a leading national provider of environmental and restoration services. Jeff grew AdvantaClean to over 230 franchise territories operating in 37 states, acting as the CEO until AdvantaClean was acquired in January of 2019. He currently serves as Chief Development Officer of Mowbot.
Jeff is a published author, Forbes contributor, speaker, and serves as a consultant to emerging brands as well as a board/committee member serving YPO, Novant Health and The AdvantaClean Foundation which is a National Strategic Partner with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The benefits to entrepreneurs who get in on the ground floor of a concept that is poised to disrupt an entire industry are enormous, Mowbot franchisees benefit from the systems, processes, and leadership of proven franchise executives and technology innovators.
When Tony came up with the concept for the Mowbot franchise he knew Husqvarna was the only manufacturer that had the right product for this concept. From day one, he developed a close relationship with Husqvarna, securing training and technical support for Mowbot franchisees. In May of 2019 Husqvarna made a significant financial investment in Mowbot and became part owner of the franchise company.
