Women in Business at Wayback Burgers - Meet Our Franchisees from Over 4 Years to the Newest Franchisee

Wayback Burgers prides itself on putting its franchisees first and going the extra mile to support them. As Women’s History Month approaches, it is the perfect time to recognize some of the women leaders of Wayback Burgers. Let us introduce you to the following outstanding women: Anna Turovskaya and AJ Porco.

Meet Anna:

Anna Turovskaya has been in the restaurant business for over 24 years and has extensive management and marketing experience. She came to the US from Ukraine as a refugee in 1998 where she had to repeat high school here to learn to speak English. In that time she fell in love with food and cooking. She later went to college and studied business management which led her to owning her own business. Aside from her successful career Anna enjoys hiking with her three dogs and practices Jujitsu. She joined the Wayback Burgers family over four years ago and owns two Wayback Burgers in North Carolina, one in Mint Hill and the other she is currently searching for real estate to open. She has demonstrated her exceptional business sense and deep understanding of what it takes to thrive in the fast casual franchising industry and serves on our National Franchisee Advisory Council. Anna’s commitment to excellence and community has helped her to build a loyal following of guests, and her innovative marketing strategies have helped her stand out in a crowded field. When asking what attributes to her success Anna says “For me it’s all about local community involvement and every day I try to make someone’s day and help them leave in a better mood.” Her continued success and dedication to her business make Anna an exceptional role model for women in the franchising industry.

Meet AJ:

AJ Porco is another exceptional franchisee making waves at Wayback Burgers. A New York native and community local, her restaurant location is in West Hempstead, NY. She started as a team member with her eyes set on ownership. AJ is Wayback Burgers' youngest franchisee, taking ownership of the location at only 21 years old.AJ says, “In 2022 we grew over 25%, being young and dedicated is inspiring to my guests and they enjoy seeing me around. I’m here open to close everyday.” AJ says that her favorite part of being a franchisee is interacting with the guests. She is proud of the relationships she’s built and even has some guests that started coming in almost six years go. When she’s not at the restaurant you can find her showing off her collection of Pop Funko or reading Japanese anime. AJ’s unwavering commitment to her guests and fierce determination to succeed, along with her commitment to the community (school sponsorships) and quality food has helped her build a loyal guest base. AJ is an ambitious leader to keep your eye on!

These two women have shown that they have what it takes to succeed in the fast-paced and demanding world of fast casual franchising. Their dedication to their guests, commitment to service, and passion for bringing people together have helped them build successful restaurant businesses and make a difference in their communities. Wayback Burgers is proud to have them as a part of our family.
