Larry Carrington and Trampoline Park Opportunity Group (TPOG) are on the fast-track to success with Altitude Trampoline Park, one of the world’s largest family entertainment brands. The operating group hasn’t just been successful with one, or even two locations, but rather is hot off the heels of opening its 11th park. That makes TPOG the brand’s largest franchise operator.

“Since signing our franchise agreements with Altitude Trampoline Park, we’ve leaned on the brand’s leadership team for their expertise in operations, attraction design and construction, local marketing, and so much more,” said Carrington, TPOG’s director of operations.

So just why is TPOG continuing to invest in the brand and how are they scaling up growth so quickly? We sat down with Carrington to ask that, and more.

Q: What advantages does ATP offer that other investment opportunities did not?

A: I deal with the operations of eleven Altitude parks across multiple states, and one of the support features that stands out to me the most is the brand’s excellent support center. The team guided us with ease through site selection, construction, and the re-branding process for many of our parks.

Another thing that Altitude does that I don’t see a lot of other family entertainment concepts offer is consistent local marketing programs. Most people in the franchise industry are experienced operators, who can handle the day-to-day tasks of running a business, but are not savvy marketers. It helps to have a team that works with you to put together brand activations and promotions that we then utilize in our local markets.

Q: How did you scale up to multiple locations so quickly, and why did you choose the markets you did?

A: Our rapid expansion is due to the entire team we have here at Trampoline Park Opportunity Group (TPOG), as well as the encouraging team behind Altitude. Many of my colleagues stepped forward to help us get the parks up and running – it was truly a team effort.

Our team took over three existing Altitude Trampoline Park locations, but the rest of our parks came from the diligent site selection of other closed-down trampoline and adventure park venues. The Altitude franchise development team worked closely with us to seek out and identify sites that fit our desired real estate requirements. Many of these parks had closed down due to challenges from the pandemic, so we were thrilled to be able to bring the brand and its indoor activity options back to those areas.

Q: How did the ATP corporate team support you and help you grow?

A: The team at Altitude assisted us in identifying potential sites and vendors that increased the opportunity for us to secure advantageous leases and re-construct the attractions that went into many of our re-branded parks. They were involved in the entire process from signing to opening and beyond.

Q: What are your next growth goals with ATP? How do you plan to achieve those growth goals?

A: We are looking to continue growing Trampoline Park Opportunity Group’s presence in the coming year, and we plan to do that by reinvesting with the people inside our company. Our employees are the future leaders of TPOG, and it’s important that we continue to provide them with opportunities to develop professionally. By reinvesting in our staff, we’ll be even better equipped to continue expanding our parks and our presence nationwide.

Q: What would you tell someone considering investing in ATP?

A: It’s a great investment because it’s just an overall enjoyable experience. To run one of these parks, and be able to form genuine relationships with park guests, is such a unique experience unrivaled by other kind of franchise concept.

As an owner or operator of an Altitude Trampoline Park, you get to be a more integral part of the community, providing and promoting a healthy lifestyle and family togetherness. The corporate team always calls the investment, “getting paid in dollars and smiles,” and I couldn’t agree more with that statement.
