National Bathroom Remodeling Franchise Announces New Strategy to Increase System-Wide Collaboration

In Koehler’s new role, his focus will be to ensure corporate strategies remain aligned with franchisees’ field operations.
Koehler joined the Re-Bath family in 1996 as the owner of Re-Bath Guilford County in North Carolina. Since then, he has expanded his North Carolina bathroom remodeling empire by purchasing rights to Raleigh, Fayetteville and Wilmington. Upon his new position, Koehler will be working closely with Re-Bath, LLC CEO Brad Hiller, President Marty Rasmussen, regional presidents and specific directors at corporate, while remaining in charge of managing and operating his existing franchises.
“Over the course of Tim’s 19 years of owning a Re-Bath franchise, he has developed extensive relationships with other owners and has become a respected leader amongst his peers,” said Rasmussen. “Adding Tim to our team will greatly benefit the entire franchise network as we enter the next stage of our company’s growth, and will serve as a foundation to our continued collaborative efforts with the field.”
Koehler will play an integral role in establishing six qualified teams to focus on the following key areas: marketing, sales, production, customer satisfaction, office management and executive development. Each team will consist of a director/senior trainer, support team and a franchisee advisory group of two to four owners or managers with expertise specific to their respective area. These team members will work together to plan and execute function priorities for the franchise system.
“By assuming the corporate advisory position and maintaining my role as a franchisee, I’m able to offer a unique perspective and serve as a mediator between Re-Bath corporate and its franchise partners,” stated Koehler. “This collaboration will encourage feedback from field operators and strengthen communications with corporate, resulting in increased success of local Re-Bath offices across the nation.”
The company’s new field collaboration strategy began earlier this year with the appointment of Rasmussen from the franchise network to the corporate team. Formerly the general manager of the most successful Re-Bath franchise in the network, Rasmussen’s achievements prompted the corporate team to invite him to serve as a mentor and guide the brand as president of the company.
“Our field collaboration strategy is a celebration of working together as a team, rather than corporate dictating how the field should operate their businesses,” said Rasmussen, noting that it is uncommon for franchisors to operate in such a collaborative nature with their franchisees. “The experience our franchise partners and their employees have is invaluable, and this new program will help spread their best practices and strategies across the network so even more can benefit from it.”
